The Beatitudes of High School

I know I've missed the "it gets better" boat, but today's April Fools. Thus, a little silliness won't go amiss. I mean no blasphemy; this is simply a comment on how life seems to turn out after high school

Blessed are the geeks,
for space travel will one day be theirs.
Blessed are those who are depressed,
for they shall develop real friendships.
Blessed are the queers,
for they shall inherit the fun parts of the grown-up world.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall not be hated in adulthood.
Blessed are those who are not seduced by the popularity contest,
for they shall out-shine their classmates after high school.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called awesome.
